EAU CLAIRE, WI (Ben Caxton) — It’s one thing when the postman says it’s too cold to bring mail to your front door. It’s altogether more serious when rural beer deliveries grind to a halt. Distributors in the Chippewa Falls announced yesterday they were suspending routes because the products could freeze, especially in far-off areas. Scott Baesemann is operations manager with Fabiano Brothers in Schofield. They are not suspending routes but their drivers are taking extra precautions. [BAESEMANN] Any load left exposed or on the floor of the trailer for too long could lead to disaster. [BEER] The Eau Claire Leader-Telegram reports some deliveries in west-central Wisconsin could be delayed by up to two days. So stock up and hunker down, if you haven’t already.
