Board Okays Spending Taxpayer Time on Global Warming

MADISON, WI (Ben Caxton) — With Democrats in charge one Wisconsin board says its permissible again for its employees to spend office hours working on global warming issues. The state Board of Commissioners of Public Lands instituted a ban on using state-paid hours promoting the issue in 2015. New board chairwoman and state Treasurer Sarah Godlewski on Friday said Friday that not taking climate change into consideration is “completely reckless” despite the fact that it’s unclear exactly what role the Wisconsin State Board of Commissioners of Public Lands could play in preventing polar bears from disappearing, hurricanes from impacting Wisconsin, or sea levels from rising.
