Family Astronomy Night at Wetlands Centre

MARQUETTE, IA (Ben Caxton) — The Driftless Area Wetlands Centre is hosting Family Astronomy Night from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM this Friday. Promoters invite the public to come spend an evening learning about the universe with digital planetarium programs held every half hour and guided exploration of the night sky through telescopes with the Starsplitters of Wyalusing. Hands-on science activities for all ages will be available. Friday’s event is hosted by MFL MarMac teachers. Volunteers from the Starsplitters of Wyalusing and the Friends of the Marquette Driftless Area share their knowledge and lend a hand to make this event possible each year. The Driftless Area Wetlands Centre one-half mile west of the Marquette-Joliet Bridge on Hwy 18 in Marquette.
