Patch Grove Accident Leads to Tickets

PATCH GROVE, WI (Ben Caxton) — A Bloomington man has been cited after police discovered his abandoned car in Patch Grove Township with open alcohol containers present in the passenger compartment of the vehicle. Police say 26-year-old Trevor Ferguson was southbound along Wisconsin State Highway 35 around 2:00 AM on the morning of February 8th when he lost control while negotiating a curve, drove across both lanes of the highway and ended up with his car resting in the opposite ditch. Sheriff’s Deputies were eventually called to the scene by passersby around 5:00 AM. When contacted by phone Ferguson told authorities he lost control of his vehicle on the slick road and didn’t notify law enforcement. He was cited for open intoxicants, driving too fast for conditions, operating left of center, and failure to notify DMV of an address change.
