Baldwin Set to Vote Against Emergency Declaration

WASHINGTON, DC (Ben Caxton) — Senator Tammy Baldwin says she’s ready to vote against President Trump’s national emergency declaration. Raymond Neupert has the story for Great Rivers News. “A bill aimed stopping the President from spending military renovation funds on building a border passed the House last night. Baldwin says if President Trump gets his wish, Wisconsin soldiers and airmen will feel the pain. Baldwin: `Wisconsin is facing the prospect of having funding that was appropriated for barracks and family housing at Fort McCoy taken away for Trump’s wall.` She says allowing this to go through sets a dangerous Constitutional precedent of stripping powers from Congress.”
