Cop Charged with Stealing Drugs from Police Station

TWIN LAKE, WI (Ben Caxton) — A police captain is charged for allegedly taking painkillers turned in as part of a drug take-back program. Bob Hague has the story for Great Rivers News. “Dennis Linn – second in command at the Twin Lake Police Department in Kenosha Country – is scheduled for a March 7 initial court appearance. The Twin Lakes department announced last week that Linn was under investigation and on administrative leave. After a detective became suspicious of Linn’s behavior in the evidence processing room, a camera placed there showed Linn taking items. Drugs were found to be missing, and investigators serving a search warrant at his home found bottles for hydrocodone and oxycodone prescribed to people other than Linn and his wife. Cheryl Linn faces drug charges in Walworth County.”
