Master Gardners Receive Grant Money

CLAYTON COUNTY, IA (Ben Caxton) — Master Gardners in Dubuque, and Clayton Counties are getting some money for projects from the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Master Gardener program’s SNAP-Education grants. In Dubuque County, the money will go toward maintenance and expansion of gardens at Dubuque Rescue Mission and Westminster Gardens. In Clayton County, the funds will expand raised garden beds where the produce is donated to the Clayton County Food Shelf. Iowa State says all projects are aimed at “increasing food security and promoting healthy food access throughout Iowa.”
