Manitowoc Groups Raise Reward in Bald Eagle Shooting Case

MANITOWOC COUNTY, WI (Ben Caxton) — Community groups in Manitowoc are raising the reward for information in the shooting death of a bald eagle. Raymond Neupert has the story for Great Rivers News. “WOMT reports that the injured bald eagle was spotted in Manitowoc in December, and was taken to a wildlife center where it later died. An examination showed it had been recently shot, likely while it was feeding in one of the rivers. The reward is now up to two thousand dollars, and anyone with information should contact Manitowoc County Crime Stoppers.”
