Monroe County Offers Help in Sparta Area Flooding

SPARTA, WI (Ben Caxton) — Monroe County is offering help to people and communities in the Sparta area being affected by flooding. Water from rapidly melting snow and ice is seeping into a number of buildings although officials say the high water isn’t a huge problem – yet. The county is providing free sandbags to help prevent further damage to people’s homes. Sandbags can be filled and picked up at the Monroe County Animal Shelter in Sparta, the Monroe County Shop in Tomah, and at the Township of Wilton Shop while supplies last.
