Organic Valley CEO Is Being Replaced

VERNON COUNTY, WI (Ben Caxton) — La Farge based Organic Valley is losing its longtime CEO. The company announced that CEO George Siemon who co-founded the firm in 1988 has been replaced by organic Valley’s chief business officer Bob Kirchoff. Organic Valley was the first U.S. organic foods company to surpass $1 billion in revenue with a cooperative that has grown to include over 2,000 farms nationwide. The company markets dairy drinks, yogurts, and other products and recently opened a meat division, is now selling ingredients to General Mills, and has a partnership with Dean Foods. No reason was given for Siemon’s departure.
