Wardens Seek Info on Poached Bald Eagle

MARATHON COUNTY, WI (Ben Caxton) — The D N R is asking for your help in finding the person who killed a bald eagle in central Wisconsin. Here’s Raymond Neupert for Great Rivers News. “Wardens say the bald eagle was found dead along a road in the Town of Harrison in Marathon County on March 23rd. The bird was taken to a wildlife sanctuary, where it was determined that the bird had been shot. The bald eagle is federally protected and it is illegal to kill one for any reason.
