Grant County Honored for Helping Children

LANCASTER, WI (Ben Caxton) — The State of Wisconsin has recognized the Grant County Department of Social Services for its efforts in serving children in out-of-home care. The state said in a press-release that Grant County child welfare staff contributed to Wisconsin exceeding the federal requirement that at least 95% of children in out-of-home care have face-to-face contact with a caseworker at least once per month. In Grant County, 99.1% of children received at least one visit per month, well above the state average.
