Viroqua Police Chief Jefson Resigns

VIROQUA, WI (Ben Caxton) — Viroqua Police Chief Daron Jefson has retired. The Police and Fire Commission officially accepted Jefson resignation at a meeting on Monday. Jefson had revealed his plans at the end of March to City Clerk Polhamus. A search for Jefson’s replacement is getting underway with a draft job opening announcement being written. That draft6 will likely be reviewed by the commission at its next meeting on April 23rd. In the meantime, Assistant Chief Todd Simonson will take over the reins from Jefson.
