LANCASTER, WI (Ben Caxton) — Grant County officials will be hosting an open house this weekend to show off the new $25 million, 80,000-square-foot Grant County Community Services Building. The event kicks off with a noontime ribbon cutting, with public tours through the afternoon. The facility at 8820 U.S. 61 in Lancaster will house the Grant County Sheriff’s Department, along with the county’s jail, dispatch center, emergency management offices, Aging and Disability Resource Center and Social Services Department. ADRC staff are expected to move into the new building this month, with other departments to follow throughout the summer. The jail will be the last to take up space in the new building. That move is current scheduled for August.
