Assembly Set to Vote on Gop Abortion Bills

MADISON, WI (Ben Caxton) — The state Assembly is set to vote today on four Republican bills dealing with abortion. Here’s Bob Hague for Great Rivers News dot com. `Madison Democrat, Representative Melissa Sargent, says they politicize women’s health care decisions [wrnassemblyabort01] One bill could send doctors to prison if they fail to provide medical care to babies born after attempted abortions. Opponents say that’s already illegal. Sargent says all the bills are bad [wrnassemblyabort02] and families. All four face certain vetoes if they get to Democratic Governor Tony Evers.
