Lancaster Man Arrested After Hit-and-run Crash

LANCASTER, WI (Ben Caxton) — A Lancaster man has been arrested in connection with a Saturday night hit-and-run accident in Iowa County. Authorities say 49-year-old Leonard Melssen was involved in an accident near the intersection of Iowa County XX and Iowa County B in the Town of Eden at 9:15 PM. He fled the scene and was later stopped by a Grant County Deputy in Rewey. Melssen was charged with hit-and-run and first-offense operating while under the influence causing injury.
