Vos Optimistic Evers Won’t Veto Republican Budget Plan

MADISON, WI (Ben Caxton) — Assembly Speaker Robin Vos says he’s hopeful that Democratic Governor Tony Evers will approve the state budget plan crafted by Republican’s on the legislature’s Joint Committee on Finance. [wrnvosnoveto02] The Republican’s two-year spending plan rejected many of the proposals contained in Evers’ original budget proposal. They say it prioritizes the state’s needs for roads, education and health care. The budget will be taken up by the full legislature before being sent to the governor.
