Bronze Gasattendant Makes Appearance in Bangor

BANGOR, WI (Ben Caxton) — Bangor area residents and visitors got up close and personal with a new local fixture over the weekend. A life-sized bronze statue of a Mobil station attendant debuted at the Ridgefest and Car Show in Ridge History Park Sunday. The statue stands outside the recreated station near Ridge History Park and joins a statue of a Franciscan Sister at a schoolhouse. The weekend festivities included a silent auction, a raffle, bingo, and a cash drawing to help raise money for the park along with a display of classic cars, refreshments, and kid-friendly activities.
