Mosquitos Test Positive for West Nile Virus

DANE COUNTY, WI (Ben Caxton) — Mosquitoes found in Dane County have tested positive for West Nile virus. John Hausbeck is Environmental Health Supervisor with Public Health Madison & Dane County. He says there are things you can do to make your property less attractive to mosquitoes [wrnmadskeeters04] In 2018, Wisconsin had 33 probable and confirmed cases of West Nile virus. Since 2002, on average, 19 cases are reported each year. You can find out the status of West Nile in your county at the state Department of Health Services website.
