Prairie Company Buying Bloomington School

BLOOMINGTON, WI (Ben Caxton) — BoxLogix Automation of Prairie du Chien will be breathing new life into an old Bloomington School. The River Ridge School District formally accepted an offer from the company for 16 acres of adjoining land and the building, which used to house 80 fifth- and sixth-grade students until it was shuttered late in 2017 as students were moved to a new school building in Patch Grove. The purchase offer of $110,000 will allow BoxLogix to proceed with plans to turn the 38,000square-foot building into a new processing and shipping center if the sale proceeds as planned. The company currently has about 30 employees at locations in Prairie du Chien, Oelwein, Milwaukee, and Indianapolis.
