Cassville Business Embezzler Facing 20 Years in Prison

MADISON, WI (Ben Caxton) — A Spring Grove, Minnesota man pled guilty Tuesday in Federal Court in Madison to embezzling more than $1 million from two businesses he operated, one in Cassville, and the other in Kentucky. The FBI and Cassville Police say 54-year-old Curtis Tarver worked as Chief Financial Officer for the two related businesses and had access to company bank accounts. Prosecutors said he used company credit cards and checks along with PayPal accounts to transfer the money to his personal bank accounts which he used for home improvements, recreational vehicles, travel, dining, and as gifts and loans to other people. Tarver faces up to 20 years in federal prison when he is sentenced on December 5.
