Bargain Gas Mistake in Brookfield

BROOKFIELD, WI (Ben Caxton) — Thirty-five hundred bucks. That’s how much a Brookfield gas station lost when the wrong price was programmed into its gas pumps. `The mid-grade price was supposed to be two-dollars, 89-cents-a-gallon. Instead, people who were filling their tanks were only paying 28-cents-a-gallon. By the time police arrived, at least 100 customers had topped their tanks at a real bargain price.`
