MCGREGOR, IA (Ben Caxton) — Four Prairie du Chien residents have been charged with attacking a teenager after luring the boy to a Clayton County campground. 45-year-old Dustin M. McCartney, and his 15-year-old son, along with 19-year-old Blake Bunts, and 18-year-old Reanna Reames have been charged with assault causing injury, according to a press release from the Clayton County Sheriff’s Department. McCartney also is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and his son is charged in juvenile court with assault causing injury. The group has confessed to driving to Bloody Run Campground in rural McGregor the night of July 7 after exchanging threatening messages with the victim, 18-year-old Tyler Moreland, to lure him to the campground. Sometime around midnight Moreland arrived and was attacked by the four, who punched him, kicked him and sprayed him with pepper spray, with McCartney encouraging his son to participate in the assault.
