Marquette Gets a New Council Member

MARQUETTE, IA (Ben Caxton) — Marquette has sworn in a new city council member. Dave Schneider was appointed by a unanimous vote this week to take over for Pam Brodie-Fitzgerald who resigned last month. Schneider was one of two residents to submit a letter of interest for the position and will serve the remainder of Brodie-Fitzgerald’s term through the end of December. Marquette voters will decide on a permanent replacement at the ballot box on November 5th.
