Vacancy Coming As Allamakee Judge to Retire

ALLAMAKEE COUNTY, IA (Ben Caxton) — An Allamakee County District Court judge has announced his retirement from the bench. Judge John J. Bauercamper, who is seated at the Allamakee County Courthouse in Waukon and whose district includes Allamakee, Clayton, Delaware, Winneshiek, and Dubuque counties says he will give up his post at the end of the year. Two nominees to fill Bauercamper’s seat will be selected by a nominating commission be sometime in early November. Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds will then have 30 days to choose one to become the next District Court Judge.
