La Crosse Airport Receives $3.4M Safety Grant

LA CROSSE, WI (Ben Caxton) — The La Crosse airport is getting some help from the federal government for safety improvements. The money will be used to add a new taxi lane, add space to a hangar, install new lights on the strip, and replacing some deteriorating concrete. Construction could begin as early as next week and be completed anywhere from thanksgiving to late spring. La Crosse was one of 12 Wisconsin airports receiving grants in this round of funding from the Federal Aviation Administration.
