Cops Find Nearly 30 Dogs & Cats in Eau Claire Home

EAU CLAIRE, WI (Ben Caxton) — Eau Claire Police say nearly 30 cats and dogs were rescued from unsanitary conditions last week. It started with a well-being check, and once inside the home, they found the animals living among their own feces. `Conditions were reportedly so bad, officers had to take precautions while processing the scene due to the strong stench of ammonia. Two people were arrested and may face charges for mistreating the cats and dogs, which are now in the custody of the Humane Society of Eau Claire.`
