Authorities Issue Halloween “meth Candy” Warning

GRANT COUNTY, WI (Ben Caxton) — With Halloween festivities underway today authorities in Grant County are warning people across southwest Wisconsin about a “very concerning” find they made recently – “Meth Candy”. The Richland-Iowa-Grant Drug Task says this is something new that they have not seen before, caused by the tremendous growth of methamphetamine into the area over the past couple of years. They are warning residents to be vigilant this Halloween and check all the candy that children receive. There is not only the concern of the “meth candy,” but many other products from other states containing marihuana oils and byproducts which can be detrimental to the health of a child.
