Sentencing Set for Jason Sypher in Wife’s Murder

PORTAGE, WI (Ben Caxton) — Sentencing has been set for Jason Sypher, a Plover man convicted of killing his wife. `Sypher, who was found guilty of killing his wife Krista in 2017 then hiding her body, faces a mandatory life sentence on November 15th. The only thing that will be discussed that day is the possibility of parole. He was found guilty last week following a two-week trial, his defense team argued that since Krista’s body has never been recovered, it remains possible that she is still alive Prosecutors, however, pointed to human remains discovered by K9 officers in the Sypher home as evidence of her death. Several of her belongings including an i phone and jewelry were also found in commercial dumpsters around Plover.`
