“rolling Food Bank” Visiting La Crosse for Christmas

LA CROSSE, WI (Ben Caxton) — The 21st annual Canadian Pacific Holiday Train, also known as “North America’s longest rolling food bank”, will be visiting 13 Wisconsin communities including La Crosse. The train will make a grand entrance at each station by transforming an ordinary cargo car into a stage overflowing with holiday spirit. This year, guests will be treated to dazzling holiday light shows and free live music, and are encouraged to bring along a donation of food to benefit local food pantries in their community. In La Crosse donations will benefit The Hunger Task Force. On Wednesday, December 4, the train has stops planned in Portage at 1:00 PM, the Wisconsin Dells at 2:30 PM, Mauston at 4:00 PM, Tomah at 5:25 PM, Sparta at 6:40 PM, and La Crosse at 8:45 PM. Canadian pacific reminds folks that the Holiday Train runs on a tight schedule and the listed stop times are approximate. Holiday Train officials suggest following the train’s journey on Facebook, Twitter, and their official website to be aware of any updates or changes to the schedule.
