Prairie Du Chien Lays Claim to Rural Principal Of the Year

PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, WI (Ben Caxton) — Prairie du Chien High School’s own Andy Banasik has been named “Rural Principal of the Year” by the Wisconsin Rural Schools Alliance. The WiRSA established the award to recognize a principal who has made significant contributions to his or her rural school district. Banasik who has more than two decades of experience educating southwest Wisconsin youth was nominated by the high school’s Academic and Career Readiness Coordinator Karen Sjoberg. Banasik has spent more than 20 years bringing opportunities to students in rural southwest Wisconsin.
