It’s Fake Snowing on Mount La Crosse Already

LA CROSSE, WI (Ben Caxton) — In what is one of the earliest starts to the snow-making season ever at the Mount La Crosse ski area, workers began covering the slopes in the artificial white stuff Wednesday night. The slopes need between twenty and thirty inches of snow before they can be opened to skiers. The hope is that if the weather cooperates the area could be open for the season in the next two to three weeks.
