More Milk, Fewer Cows in Wisconsin

MADISON, WI (Ben Caxton) — Wisconsin dairy farmers are producing more milk with fewer cows. `The latest numbers from the U-S Department of Agriculture show Wisconsin milk production was up about one-and-a-half percent last month, compared to October of last year. That’s despite a modest decrease in the size of Wisconsin’s milking herd. Wisconsin is the nation’s number-two milk producer behind California.`
