Girlfriend Charged in Murder Of Fennimore High Graduate

FENNIMORE, WI (Ben Caxton) — A Necedah woman has been arrested in connection with the death of her boyfriend, a recent graduate of Fennimore High School. 27-year-old Crystal A. Pharis is charged with first-degree intentional homicide, hiding a corpse, child neglect and four counts of felony bail jumping. Authorities say Pharis killed 26-year-old Jason Dailey, originally from Dubuque, who graduated from Fennimore High in 2012. Daily’s body was discovered under blankets next to his bed by sheriff’s deputies during a welfare check on November 12 when he failed to show up for work. Pharis was found unresponsive and on top of her 2-month-old baby and both were taken to the hospital. Another man staying at the home told investigators Pharis struck Dailey a few days earlier after she accused him of cheating on her. Pharis’ bond was set at $1 million with a court appearance scheduled for next week in Juneau County.
