Road Hogs Cause Traffic Problems on Highway 53

TREMPEALEAU COUNTY, WI (Ben Caxton) — A semi crash shut down Highway 53 in Trempealeau County for several hours early Wednesday. `It happened around 12:30 a.m as heavy snow was starting to fall across western Wisconsin. The semi went off the pavement and flipped onto its side. The trailer was loaded with 110 hogs, which had to be transferred onto another truck before crash clean up could begin. Highway 53 was closed for about four hours total. The semi driver was taken to the hospital but is expected to be okay.`
