Sparta Man Gets 75 Years for Child Sex Crimes

SPARTA, WI (Ben Caxton) — Monroe County District Attorney, Kevin D. Croninger announced Friday that Jacob Alvin Andrew Wikkerink of Sparta has been sentenced to 75 years on five counts involving sex crimes against children. The 50-year-old Wikkerink would serve 55-years behind bars and then 20 years of extended supervision when released at the age of 105 meaning he will likely remain in prison for the rest of his natural life. The sentence was handed down by Monroe County Circuit Court Judge Richard Radcliffe. Croninger called Wikkerink a “monster” in a press release saying the trauma he has caused his victims “is immeasurable.” The counts against Wikkerink included two counts of Repeated Sexual Assault of a Child, two counts of Incest with a Child, and one count of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of a Child. The investigation of the child sex crimes was led by Detective Andrew Kuen of the City of Sparta Police Department, with assistance from the Social Worker Jamie Reese of Monroe County Human Services.
