Viroqua Man Injured Playing with Car Stereo While Driving

VIROQUA, WI (Ben Caxton) — A Viroqua man was taken to the hospital after he crashed his car while adjusting the stereo system. 18-year-old Colton J. Fox of rural Viroqua was driving his 2003 Dodge Neon, south on State Highway 27. While he was adjusting some audio equipment his car drifted off the right side of the road. Cox overcorrected, crossing over the centerline and entering the ditch and striking a tree. He was trapped in the vehicle and required extrication by the Viroqua Fire Department. The accident occurred just before noon last Monday south of Tainter Hollow Road in the town of Franklin. Cox was transported via Gundersen Air to Gundersen Health Systems of Lacrosse with non-life-threatening injuries.
