Wet, Wintry Mess Expected Up North This Weekend

DULUTH, MN (Ben Caxton) — Expect a snowy wet mess if you’re traveling to the Northwoods this weekend. Chris Gitro from the National Weather Service in Duluth says a storm system will move through Minnesota and into Wisconsin starting Friday night into Saturday. “We’re trying to get the word out that we’re going to have some hazardous travel conditions this weekend, and we would like everybody to stay home if possible, or at the very least use extreme caution if travelling,” Gitro says far northern Wisconsin could see a few inches of snow, while the rest of the region should expect snow, rain, and stuff in between with a chance of ice build-up.
