Grant County Losing over 100 Year’s Worth Of Employees

LANCASTER, WI (Ben Caxton) — Three Grant County government employees recently retired and were recognized for their years of service to the county by the Grant County Board of Supervisors at its’ meeting in December. They included Kevin Lang who worked in the Conservation Department and helped farmers throughout the county on conservation practices. Lange also headed up the county’s tree sale and worked with local high schools with land judging contests. Lange worked for Grant County for 29-years. Also being recognized was Debra Schmitt, who worked for 36-years as a CNA at the county-owned and operated nursing home, Orchard Manor, and Lou Ann Bendorf, who worked for 41-years as an administrative assistant with the Grant County Sheriff’s Department. Retiring Grant County employees are given a plaque by the county and are presented the plaque at Grant County Board meetings. Lange attended the December meeting and thanked the county board for the recognition.
