Platteville Council Opens More Streets to Atv’s

PLATTEVILLE, WI (Ben Caxton) — ATV’s and UTV’s will be sharing more streets in Platteville as the Common Council has voted to approve a proposal to expand access for the vehicles in the city. Despite objections by some residents will now be able to operate year ’round in Grant County’s largest city. Signs will be going up soon along the newly approved routes on Valley Road and sections of North Third and North Oak streets, Chestnut, Lancaster, Madison, Mineral and Water streets. The vehicles will now be permitted between the hours of 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM but operators must possess a driver’s license and liability insurance, and the vehicles must have working headlights, brake lights, and tail lights.
