Wisconsin Airport Gun Confiscations on the Rise

MADISON, WI (Ben Caxton) — The number of guns caught at Wisconsin airports is on the rise. `Transportation Security Administration officers say they stopped 24 handguns at Wisconsin airport checkpoints last year. That’s an increase from the 20 caught in 2018. FOX-Six News reports 16 of them were intercepted at Milwaukee’s Mitchell Airport. Nationwide, TSA officers found more than 44-hundred guns in carry-on bags or on passengers at checkpoints across the country last year. 87-percent of them were loaded. Local and state firearm possession laws vary.`
