Prairie School Bomb Threat No Threat

PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, WI (Ben Caxton) — A scrawled bomb threat on a bathroom wall sent a Prairie du Chien School into lockdown. A teacher found the message during the noon-hour at Wednesday on a middle school boys’ bathroom wall at River Ridge Schools. The Crawford County Sheriff’s Department was alerted and nearly a dozen personnel were at the school within minutes checking lockers, locker rooms, and other areas for explosives with the help of school employees. Nothing unusual was found but students were evacuated from the building and another sweep conducted around 2:00 PM before people were allowed back in. Authorities say they are investigating to determine who was responsible for the message, although if found, the name is not expected to be released publicly.
