Weekend Storm Meets Snowfall Expectations

LA CROSSE, WI (Ben Caxton) — This weekend’s snowstorm, unlike several past predicted events, actually met expectations for snowfall across the state. Totals ranged from six to ten inches in a band stretching south of Minneapolis to Green Bay and north from Decorah and Lansing to Fond du Lac. Lesser amounts in the 4 to 7-inch range were found further north and south. Amounts across Vernon County were generally in the 8.5 to 9.5-inch range. Less accumulations were seen in the Mississippi River Valley from Lansing south to Prairie du Chien and tapered off quickly south of the Wisconsin River.
