Search for Missing Man Turns to Mississippi

LA CROSSE, WI (Ben Caxton) — The search for a missing La Crosse man who has not been seen since Saturday has turned to the Mississippi River. 62-year-old James Zaragoza was last seen on Saturday around 8:00 PM near the Catholic Charities Warming Center on 3rd Street South in La Crosse. On Sunday and Monday, the La Crosse County Dive Unit was seen on the water near Houska Park looking for Zaragoza. He is described as 62-years-old, approximately 5’10” tall, and weighing 190 lbs. He has brown hair and green eyes. Police said he is known to wear a burgundy and green plaid scarf and a brown dress hat. Zaragoza frequently uses a walking cane. He also is known to carry a black leather briefcase and a red backpack.
