West Salem School Superintendent Resigns

WEST SALEM, WI (Ben Caxton) — Troy Gunderson is giving up the reigns at the West Salem School District to retire ending a 35-year career in education. Gunderson, who has been superintendent in West Salem since 2010, made the announcement on Wednesday. His career started as a mathematics teacher at Melrose-Mindoro in 1985, leading to positions as principal at West Salem High School for 15 years, and two years as superintendent at the G-E-T School District. The West Salem School Board is expected to quickly begin a search for Gunderson’s replacement.
