Culinary Students Prepping for Skillsusa Competition

FENNIMORE, WI (Ben Caxton) — Select students in the culinary programs at Southwest Wisconsin Technical College are preparing to show off their skills in competition. The SkillsUSA Post-Secondary State Culinary Competition will be held Thursday, March 19 at 2:00 PM in the Southwest Tech Culinary Kitchen Lab. The College says the competition will allow the students to perform in a tense, stressful situation where they will be judged on a variety of skills. With high schools eliminating technical education, organizations like SkillsUSA are important to this generation of students, noted Skills USA Wisconsin Post-Secondary state director Tom Wozniak.
