Wisconsin Leads Nation in Early Census Returns

MADISON, WI (Ben Caxton) — The U-S Census Bureau says Wisconsin is leading the pack when it comes to filling out the 2020 Census. `The bureau says about 26-percent of Wisconsinites have filled out their census forms. The national average is 21-percent. Wisconsin, Iowa, and Minnesota round out the top three spots. The states at the bottom of the list are Montana, West Virginia, and Alaska, where only 11-percent have responded. Beginning in May, census takers will start knocking on doors of homes from which there’s been no response.
