Grant County Supervisors Vote Raises for Other Officials

LANCASTER, WI (Ben Caxton) — By a 15-2 vote of the Grant County supervisors, some other elected officials in the county will be seeing more in their paychecks next year. The county treasurer, register of deeds and clerk will each be getting 7.63% raises starting in January of 2021 and then 2% per year each subsequent year. Board Chairman Bob Keeney said the initial hike is justified since the county had only been increasing salaries by 1% per year since many years ago, which has not kept pace with inflation.
