Former Milwaukee Convent to House Patients

MILWAUKEE, WI (Ben Caxton) — A former convent on Milwaukee’s south side will likely soon be an emergency shelter for some people sick with the coronavirus. `Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett says the city is putting the finishing touches on a deal to use the old Clare Hall as a place to house the homeless and others who are at risk of the virus. Barrett says the National Guard will run the shelter. There’s room for as many as 90 people.`
