Business Group Sounds Alarm over Prolonged Shutdown

MADISON, I (Ben Caxton) — Unemployment in Wisconsin is now over 11 percent, and the head of Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce says the state may not be able to survive being shut down for another month-and-a-half. Scott Manley told WISN’s Jay Weber yesterday that people need to get back to work. [WRNScottManley2] The latest Marquette Law School Poll said nearly one-in-ten people in the state have lost their job because of the coronavirus. Another 22 percent are working less.
